Cold Sore Treatments - Watch Out For Side Effects

One of the main reasons I search for natural cold sore treatments is to reduce or eliminate side effects. I found a somewhat humorous post in The Pine Journal recently:

“a prescription for cold sores may have side effects that include dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, abnormal vision, athlete’s foot, lazy eye, buck teeth, hemorrhoids, the desire to bet on long-shots, increased sexual urges, and certain death. A patient might think she is on a game show: “Let’s see. Should I trade my cold sore for what’s behind Door No. 1? What if Door No. 1 is lazy eye and hemorrhoids? I’d rather keep my cold sore, I think.”

Although a little far fetched, perscription cold sore treatments do in fact have serious side effects. I have discovered a natural cold sore treatment that you can check out by Clicking Here

Since I used the treatment, I have not had any reoccurance of my cold sore outbreak, in addition, I had no side effects and used a proven natural way to treat my cold sores.

Hope this helps,

Todd

Simple Cold Sore Treatments

All cold sores start out the same way, you get that tingly feeling around you lip, the red spot appears, followed by swelling and finally pain. This can last for several weeks and keep you hiding your face every time you go out in public. If you are like me, you may have outbreaks several times a year.

There are some simple, easy treatments you can try to help ease the pain and get rid of your cold sore. Here are a few examples:

Aloe Vera - You may use either the gel or cream version. Applying aloe at the immediate onslaught of your outbreak has been shown to help your cold sore heal faster and help prevent it from reoccurring.

Cornstarch - Mix with water to form a paste and apply to your cold sore. This can help dry out your cold sore and shorten the heal time.

Grapefruit Seed Extract - Mix a few drops with aloe and olive oil and apply to your cold sore.

Ice - This can be used to dull the area and help relieve some of the pain. Another trick is to use ice immediately at the onset of your outbreak. Rub it over the cold sore for approximately 10 min on and off for about an hour. This has been known to stop the cold sore from spreading.

Lemon Balm - This can be purchased at any health store and has been known to help reduce the symptoms of cold sores.

Mint Extract - Rubbing Mint on your cold sore can help shorten the healing time.

These easy home remedies can turn out to be great cold sore treatments. Try a few to see how they work for you.

If you are looking for an even quicker way to treat your cold sore and have it gone within 3 days, I suggest checking out a book written by Grace Melgarego. Click here to learn more about Grace’s book.
